High Speed Internet Update
Altice, the high-speed internet service provider, would like everyone to know that no areas are completely ready for installations and sales as of yet. Morris Broadband was just transferred over to the Altice systems last week therefore there are several processes to iron out before moving forward.
Global Fiber, the contractor for Morris Broadband/Altice, has finished laying the conduit on the following roads and will begin pulling fiber in the next few weeks:
Evergreen Dr., Owl Ct., Buckberry Drive North, Eagle Ridge Rd, Flyaway Ci., Kestrel Ct., Bald Eagle Ct., Bird Nest Rd., Clawfoot Ct., Golden Eagle Ct., Ladyslipper Ct., Phlox Ct., Blackberry Tr., Galax Ct., YarrowCt., Ivy Ct.
The following roads have received conduit and fiber. We do not have an exact date for when service hookups will begin but as soon as we have this information, we will send out an update:
Mayapple Dr., Cottonwood Ct., Chinquapin Ct., White Dogwood Ct., Trays Island Rd., Gold Creek Rd., Piney Ridge Ct.
The following group of roads are actively receiving conduit.
Buckberry Drive South, Elderberry Dr., Trillium Ct.
The following roads are next in line for conduit placement: It maybe a while before the fiber is installed on these roads.
West Christy Ct., Holly Forest Ct., Sassafras Ct., Birch Ct., Red Bud Ct., Black Gum Ct., Hemlock Ct., Grays Creek, Tontogany Trl., Cedar Ct.
The paving company will be coming behind the contractors over the next several weeks, as weather permits, to start patching the areas where the asphalt was removed.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO DRIVE SLOWLY, KEEP A SAFE FOLLOWING DISTANCE, AND ALLOW YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION. THERE WILL BE WORKERS PRESENT ALONGSIDE THE ROADS INSTALLING THE CONDUIT.
CREWS MAY CLOSE ONE LANE OF TRAFFIC AS NECESSARY.
REMEMBER THIS INSTALLATION SCHEDULE IS WEATHER-DEPENDENT AND COULD CHANGE. PLEASE CONTINUE TO STAY CONNECTED TO THESE EMAIL BLASTS FOR MORE INFORMATION OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS.
Please call the Capital Vacations management office at 828-743-7667 if you have further questions.
